Why do we interview? Our
members are our most valuable asset and we do everything in our
power to ensure their safety, satisfaction and comfort. The
first step in this process is maintaining the overall quality of
our membership by meeting with and screening all potential
members. Over 15 years of experience reinforces the necessity
and value of this practice. Every month several candidates who
appear to be fine 'on paper' are, when we meet with them,
revealed to be completely inappropriate for Events & Adventures.
As a result, we feel it is impossible to run a quality activity
service without meeting each and every member face to face.
After your safety, our foremost concern is meeting your
expectations. Presumably, you are an interesting and active
individual intent on spending time with people similar to
yourself. In other words, you are interested in doing new things
with people you can relate to, talk to, laugh with, etc. Meeting
with potential members is our assurance that you will enjoy not
just the events you're attending, but the new friends you make

Since 1987 we've hosted over 4,000 exciting events from hiking, rafting, skiing and camping to dinners, dances, parties and theater. We've even taken our members to fun and exotic vacation spots around the world including Greece, London, the Caribbean, Mexico and lots more. Our focus is to provide a fun and comfortable place to have fun and meet new people. If you find someone special, that's great - but first and foremost we want to make sure our members have a good time. Is it true that E&A has up to 40 local events every month? Yes... and often as many as 50 different choices! Here's how it works. Every month, members receive our monthly 32-page color magazine where all of our hosted activities are described in detail. You simply check off the ones you like - or sign up via the password-protected Member's section of this website - show up, and have a great time! I'm shy about meeting new people. Will I fit in? Events & Adventures is the best way to make friends without the pressure of dating. Every one of our events are hosted by our professional event coordinators who specialize in introducing everyone around and making them feel like one of the gang. So whether you're a little shy, or recently divorced and a little "out of practice" at being single, you'll be right at home. Our monthly "New Member Icebreakers" help everyone get to know how our club works and make new friends in no time! Why is Events & Adventures better than a dating service? So many of today's dating services, matchmakers and video date companies make grandiose promises of your impending marriage when they can't even provide you with a good date. Most former dating service members who join E&A say they meet more exciting new people at their first event than they met in all the time they belonged to a dating service. Why is Events & Adventures such a great alternative to personal ads? Our members share real life experiences that personal ads can be scary or sometimes even funny. Like the guy who wanted to impress his personals date, so he met her for dinner at a well-known gourmet restaurant. After finishing just about everything on the menu, she looked at her watch and told the chivalrous fellow she had to leave immediately so she wouldn't be late to meet her boyfriend! Or the lady who discovered her personal ad date was actually someone she worked with who had given a phony name. What about internet chat rooms? Isn't that today's way of meeting singles? There will never be a better way to meet people than real, live, and in person. The internet is full of tales about married people who become "single" online. Or who send photos that are years old - or not even of themselves! When you are sharing a fun experience like rafting, dinner or a night at the theatre with someone, you see them as they really are... not merely lofty words typed on a screen. With your computer, you can travel all over the world but the fact is, you're still all by yourself staring at your computer. Most are simply bored with what they've been doing and ready to make a dramatic change. Do members date other members? Do they ever get married? Of course! Hundreds of couples have found each other at Events & Adventures. Some become friends for a lifetime. Some become roommates. Some get together for two and three person bike trips, kayaking adventures or just to share a movie. And yes, many members date one another and marry! Is Events & Adventures a comfortable place to be? It sure is. A ticket for one "ain't much fun" and most people understand that. Events & Adventures provides a great comfort zone. The acceptance from their peers that most new people experience when they become a member of E&A is enough to bring just about anyone out of their shell. We've watched people go from being shy and reserved to being outgoing and really excited about life, simply because they feel included from the first day they join. I'm ready to take the next step!
